Pechakucha

This week I prepared and recorded a Pechakucha style presentation. This format for storytelling involves 20 slides for 20 seconds of commentary each. The theory is to provide short, powerful messages that keep the audience's attention.

Through my work at ARAG, I provide presentations to attorneys on content related to increasing business to practice. I took this opportunity to record my content in the Pechakucha style.  I had a script that I re-purpose for my presentation on the 8 Keys to Providing Great Customer Service and I created a slide deck of 20 slides in Powerpoint. It was easy for me to then record each slide separately and ensure that I was speaking for only 20 seconds per slide. In Powerpoint you click on the "Slide Show" tab and "Record Slide Show":

It is actually a challenge to condense the content down so much to fit in to the total 6 minutes and forty seconds!

I then logged in to YouTube to upload my Pechakucha presentation and linked it to the projects section of my site. Recording presentations like this are perfect for training or continuing education courses.

I enjoyed your presentation and it was helpful to see how you compiled your 20 slides for 20 seconds. Also, I appreciated your commends on the Youtube upload and the related link which I remember now from the video; however, I had the link go to the Pbworks page which is more confidential and/or restricted. Given the nature of the content, I believe the limited access is a nice feature.
