Kahoot!

This week I experimented with Kahoot! a fun and free free game-based technology that makes e-learning an enjoyable and interactive experience.

It is free to set up an account and this technology is great to get an audience or classroom actively participating. You can choose from different game styles. I chose a jumble in which participants have 60 seconds to place answers in a correct order. Kahoot can be used to have a live game in which an audience or classroom will be asked to go to Kahoot.it and enter a game code. Below is an example of what participants will see:

When participants enter the game, they will choose a nickname that will appear on the screen. The Kahoot I set up had two questions. Below is what the screen would look like:

When the game is a podium is shown based on the player with the most points:

The final results page shows all the players with the points they scored:

In a presentation or a classroom setting, this can be a fun and easy learning or trivia game to increase engagement from each individual or in small groups.

From your weebly post, I am intrigued. I have played interactive games like Family Feud and Jeopardy to generate interaction; however, I will explore Kahoot as an option for future training.

The format appears very professional and clear in terms of content.

Thanks for the Kahoot post - we played the game for a compliance update in teams of two for training on Monday of this week. Kahoot resulted in an increase in employee engagement and they had fun while learning.
